3rd gen 1992 Ford Mustang LX convertible automatic For Sale.

2dr Convertible / Automatic Trans / Gasoline engine / 140k mi

1992 Ford Mustang LX 5.0L “Limited Edition Feature Car” or “Summer Special Edition” in vibrant red (1 year only Ford color) with white leather interior and white top. This model has all of the exterior trim in body color and a special rear spoiler replaced the luggage rack on the trunk lid. This car has the AOD (4 speed automatic) transmission. Around 1400 of these cars were produced in 1992 with automatic out of the approx. total production run of around 2193. One of the rarest production Mustangs of the Fox Body generation.

A Southern United States car with absolutely no rust as it missed the Northen snow and salt belt, having its original white leather interior, white vinyl top (new replacement top in box included). The interior is clean with no rips and tears. There is approximately 140k miles is on the odometer. The car comes with an extra AOD transmission along with several take off / extra parts that are included with car. There has been less than 500mi put on the car after building it for the last 3 years.

Exterior paint shows less than typical wear along with the interior especially the seats for its age and mileage. This car has been well taken care of over the years. Now having upgraded the suspension to coil overs, the stock 302 H.O. engine already having 225 h.p. and 300ft lbs of torque has performance upgrades such as the GT40P style intake and heads with a 303e cam, definitely boosting those stats. It’s now ready for the next chapter in its street life.

The suspension has the SR performance fully adjustable caster camber kit installed. Many of the suspension and engine parts are powder coated such as the A arms, knuckles, K member braces, oil pan, valve covers, upper and lower intake. It has all new energy suspension bushings. The rear diff was stripped, primed and painted. The rear trailing arms have been boxed. The front and rear rotors have been upgraded to the 5-lug style for more wheel options. A brand new Mosser custom 5 lug rear axle has been installed as well.

The braking system has been upgraded having the 5 lug Cadilac CTSV Brembo’s installed on the front wheels with the rears having the 5 lug 2002 Mustang rear disc brakes. The brake reservoir is a 2002 mustang with a dual proportion valve to allow adjustment between the front and rear braking systems to optimize your braking power.

The GT40P heads have new valve stem seals, upgraded valve springs and retainers. The throttle body is a 70mm with the EGR delete / spacer. The stock 302 H.O. Injectors were cleaned during the engine rebuild process and reinstalled. It has a Phenolic spacer on the intake. It has a silicone radiator hose kit installed on the engine cooling system.

The car is located near Marysville Ohio 43040 and for any long-distance driving would recommend trailering the car to its new destination as I have not had the car on any long-distance trips to prove reliability but have driven it locally less than 500mi without issue.

Car drives and performs well. With its lowered stance and with the 275/35ZR 18in tires and wheels (I do not have the original wheels), corners are no problem for this machine. The Jegs high performance dual exhaust along with the 303e cam make this thing sound awesome. The AOD transmission performs like an AOD, not very good for a performance car but cruises just fine. It could use a shift kit to help it perform better. It does come with a spare AOD transmission.

There is absolutely no rust on this car, top or underside. From Missouri, the original owners took excellent care of the vehicle. The interior is original without any major rips or tears in the seating. Convertible top in good condition with a couple wear spots in the C-plr from rubbing when folding up but again a new top is included if you want to change out.
