1968 Ford Mustang coupe to convertible conversion project For Sale.
I have a 1968 mustang coupe that I have been converting to a convertible. It has new face quarters, trunk floors outer wheel houses, one piece full floor pan, Inner rockers, torque boxes, seat riser, and all things for convertible floor structure. The body and doors have been media blasted and epoxy primed. I have a 2012 Mustang Coyote engine with 6 speed manual transmission sitting in the car, but not mounted. The rear end is an 8.8 with 3.73 gears, disc brakes, and posi. I have hood, fenders, trunk lid, valances, original bench seat option interior, and most parts to complete which include new, rebuilt, and refinished parts. My intentions were to make a removable hardtop, possibly carson style. Physical problems for the last year have stopped me from finishing the project.
The car also has Mustang II type independent front suspension with rack and pinion steering.
