Vehicle Detail
1st gen classic blue 1973 Ford Mustang convertible For Sale.
I bought this car in 1979 and am its 2nd owner. It is in the Survivor class – most of the car has original parts. It has mainly been in a garage since 2000 and not driven in over 2 years so it needs a tune up and is not drivable at the moment. Engine and transmission were pulled and cleaned 2yrs ago. Has new valve cover, intake gaskets, A/C hoses, lines and front grill. It has a 302 V8 with a Holley 2-barrel engine with the original heads but the new short block is not numbers matching. ODO reads 49,264 but it has turned over once. The intention was to restore it but, over the last few years, that hasn’t happened so it is a great restoration project! Last paint job was 14yrs ago in its original Ford blue color (it has always been Ford blue). White top with soft glass has been replaced and is in good shape. Trunk lid was in the process of being replaced and repainted but project never was completed. New owner will get both trunk lids and a host of parts that were to be installed. It has power steering, power top, A/C, original Mustang cassette deck and Goodyear tires which are 3yrs old. It has only been in one minor accident – a motorcycle hit the left rear quarter panel and knocked off the driver’s side mirror, so those all have been repaired and replaced. The body is all original except for the trunk, left rear quarter panel, driver’s side mirror and front bumper. The interior of the car is all original except for the dashboard. Even the boot is original! There is evidence of rust from its 1st nine years in Missouri but the rest of its life it has been in Texas. Clear title.
